PARAMETERS:

Grade level: 5

Lesson topic: Decimals

Objectives:

1. Read and write decimal numbers.

2. Compare and order decimal numbers.

3. Add and subtract decimal numbers.

Number of items in quiz: 10

Lecture material: Decimals Basics: Decimals represent parts of a whole using tenths, hundredths, etc. For example, 0.5 is 5 tenths.

Reading/Writing Decimals: Read 0.75 as "zero point seventy-five". Write decimals up to the thousandths place.

Comparing Decimals: Compare digit by digit. For example, 0.76 > 0.56 because 7 tenths is more than 5 tenths.

Adding/Subtracting Decimals: Line up the decimal points before adding or subtracting.

Step 3: Paste the prompts into an AI tool

Open ChatGPT, Gemini, or your preferred AI tool. Copy the prompt that you updated with your parameters into the tool, click the button to generate results, and wait for the AI tool to finish creating its response for you.

Follow up prompts

If you receive an incomplete response from the AI tool, send "continue" to make the tool add more to its response.

After the AI tool displays complete results for you, you can reply using the following prompts to get more responses. The follow ups below are optional.

Change the information in the brackets to match your needs, or tweak these follow up prompts as you see fit.

  • Create [X] more items.

  • Create more questions similar to Question [X].

AI tips

  • Use a different "chat" for every new AI request. This ensures that the AI tool always starts fresh and does not get confused with the details from your previous request.

  • Be specific with your parameters. AI tools respond better when provided with more detailed information.

    • For example, ✔ Conversion of units of length, mass, capacity, and time will work better than Measurement and geometry.

  • If you need more details, you can ask the AI tool to elaborate.

    • For example, you can say: Give me more details about the performance task you provided.

  • Use the "regenerate" feature if you want a better response without having to paste the prompt again. This feature is also helpful in cases where the AI tool produces an incorrectly formatted response.

Please take a moment to read our disclaimer for more information on responsible AI use before using this prompt.
